If that fight and the hype around how good Fury and Wilder were/are is anything to go by, then the heavyweight division is in sorry state. Fury was carrying a fair bit of timber and was still more agile/had better defence than Wilder, whilst Wilder looked lean and has power, but has no stamina and has the technique and accuracy of a wacky, waving, inflatable tube man.

Neither of them have enough to beat AJ. Both of them would struggle if AJ attacks them.
What does it say about Wilder that he couldnt put away an overweight pudding whos been out for 2 years.

In all honesty Fury came into the fight a terrific underdog but at rd 9 was 7rds to 1 rd up he won the 10th and 11th then got knocked down again in the 12th the only real problem with this fight was the judge from Mexico who should never judge anything in his life again.Didn't expect it but Fury was a well deserved unanimous Winner even with the 2 knockdowns.
No-one should have been able to get up after the 12th rd knockdown let alone go on the offense to hold Wilder at bay.
He had 2 prelim fights in several years and dropped around 150lbs before this fight only to be robbed by a Micky Mouse judge.
    Really Sad !!!

Anyone a little suspicious them casinos were offering 5/1 and 7/1 for either competitor and it ends up being a draw? Reminds me a House M.D. episode when people were betting on who'd be fired. Eventually he fired noone and split the cashe with the bookie - Chase.

Exactly what I thought, but I guess I would. Fury was the winner all day long. What is even more baffling is that without the two knockdowns, the Mexican judge would still have had Wilder winning!

Wilder reminded me of Eubank Jr against Groves, loads of raw power and can look devastating but fuck all technique. He didn't have a plan B, and unless he could knock him out with a flurry he had nothing.

Agree. Thats why I dont see AJ having trouble against either. Fury cant take a fight to someone, just likes to jab and run like Hughie and BJS. No way he'd sustain attacks from AJ over a good few rounds. Wilder, no technique no gameplan. Not a good fighter at all.
One thing thats certain is that draw changes the whole heavyweight calendar. Theyll rematch for sure so that leaves Whyte for a nailed on rematch with AJ if he puts Chisora away (and he should if hes a serious contender). He cant be denied a title shot if he wins on dec 22. He'll have earned it.

Was offered tickets to see that one, but can't make it unfortunately.

I just watched Fury on Joe *****'s podcast. I used to quite dislike the guy, but, fuck me, if the story he lays out in there is true, I can kind of excuse some of the cuntiness he's shown.

Edit: Why tf is the word Rog an censored?
