    MOTM vs City

Sky gave it to Mané (who played very well again), but Gini gets it for me. He was strong in the tackle, and good in possession, with his lofted pass allowing Firmino to square the ball for Lallana's goal. Oh, hang on.

Lallana played very well too, and would have got my vote MOTM but for that miss, which may be the worst since Ronnie Rosenthal.

Kudos also to Klavan, Clyne, Milner, Matip, and Can.

Coutinho is wasted at left wing. I don't know what the solution is, but he should somehow play more centrally, I reckon. Maybe next season, after we sign Bale.

Can and Wij control the midfield well , firmino and mane and lallana are good too but all miss a one on one.

Can had one of his best games for us.

That is true, he hasn't got great pace but he chased and jockeyed heroically yesterday without the ball and used it well when had it.

I'm his biggest critic (only since Moreno has been benched), but he needs to put in these types of performance back to back. The fellas up top need to improve massively as Firmino is in a slump lately and Origi isn't getting enough time as sub to influence

Thought Firmino was pretty good yesterday, without scoring. As was Mane.

Coutinho on the other hand, now that's a slump. Happens to him every season, he goes a dozen games or so being bang average. You're right, he needs to get the finger out.

    MOTM yesterday was Wijnaldum.

Mane was excellent, only remember a half chance he missed after he skinned the city defender first half. He's key to most of our attacking play, pity he doesn't half a left footed twin brother to play the other wing. Firmino did most things right, just the chance conversion didn't happen. Unfortunately that's what we need him to do.

    Mane, Wij, Can were excellent.

Lallana was also immense besides his miss - 13.5km covered is ridiculous too!
