Two of Lucas's strength as memory serves are aerial duels and an indirect set piece threat (scored a header off one corner? In the cup and assisted bobby's goal yesterday). Which given his height is amazing, but also shows others up, I'd be thinking of Hendo here who is taller but wins fewer headers. Clearly Lucas's strength here is his anticipation of reading the game, and his aggressive competitiveness in challenging. He jumps really well for a small enough fella, whereas the opposite is Sturridge who doesn't leave the ground to compete for aerials unlike yesterday's front 3 even. Then again on this facet of the game it's maybe not surprising that Lucas and Sturridge have very different personalities or whatever are somewhat opposites.

Lucas sat in the middle very effectively breaking up play and West Brom were never able to get going. Can has really improved with his run of games but for this level, needs to add some goals and assists to his play if the team is to challenge properly next term.

Bobby for me though, motm. When he's on form he looks the complete player for Klopp's front 3 set up. Tireless runner closing down, incredibly gifted on the ball and scores great goals and tap ins. Love the lad.

Bobby was an excellent piece of business. Class player, possibly our best.

Be nice if Bobby could ramp up the goalscoring ala Suarez for next season. He is class.

Don't think he has what it takes to make the jump from 21(?) to 30 (?) goals. He's on 11 now iirc, not likely to get more than 15 (and that's being generous) 'til the end. I'd be happy with a 15 goal return from each of our front three + 15 form the two midfielders behind them. 60 goals + another say 10 from deeper is plenty enough, if we shore up the defence. Not to mention another 5-10 the likes of Origi could add off the bench.

He's doing a great job at present , but if he could do a Suarez next season and bump up his goal tally by a bit , he could hit 20 or close enough pl goals.

I do wonder how many goals we've left out there this season. There's obviously always going to be misses but guess we're worst than a few others.
Wonder if anyone can fish out some big chances stats. N4C/DKD used to be great at getting those type of stats (before they fooked off to the kool reds Snapchat group)
