Quite right England are a real treat to watch and consistently punch well above their weight at tournaments.
Being better than the Irish teams, Scotland and Wales doesn’t make them a good team. In fact, Wales outperformed England at the last tournament so even that isn’t a given.

Never said they were good to watch. Wales a blip. How many times in last 20 years has one of the others out qualified or gone further in a tournament. England are an average team but country miles ahead of all the rest of locals but analogy of Celtic is fair absolutely shocking against anyone from further afield.

Again, you cannot use Wales, Scotland and Ireland as a yardstick to measure England by. 55 million population with the richest league in World football versus countries with less than 10% of the population and semi pro leagues.
England have been World Football’s most consistent underachievers since 1970, embarrassing themselves at tournaments on numerous occasions.

England, Netherlands, France and even Argentina imo haven't got close to maximising their potential over the years. England the outright winners of that lot, the others tbf have progressed to later stages on occasions.

There's something rotten in the English setup. The current moanings of the player talent pool available is pretty shocking imo.

Plenty of national setups, that would get a lot more out of those players. If they were Italian as an example.

Not one for memory, but haven't Wales in the recent Euros and Ireland back in Saipan world cup matched or bettered England's performance in recent decades.

About 10 to 15 years ago the premier league clubs took their eye of the ball regarding local kids and flooded their academies with equally or less quality players which long term has hindered mostly England. Things have changed over the last 5 years or so the senior team is shocking but the youth set up is very good. They just need a chance which is very very hard in the premier league, Dom Solanke is a prime example.
Saying all that a decent manager would help the 1st team.

    For FUCK sake

Sadio Mane is facing a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury on international duty, Liverpool FC can confirm.

The winger was substituted 89 minutes into Senegal's 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over the Cape Verde Islands on Saturday.

And it has now been confirmed that he picked up an injury during that fixture that could keep him out of action for up to six weeks.

Mane, whose lay-off will commence when Manchester United visit Anfield on Saturday, has scored three goals in four Premier League appearances this term.

At least coutinho can play there still missing Lallana midn.. can wij and henderson it is, or the mighty Ox..

We've generally struggled to score goals when Mane doesn't play. Let's hope it's not a long 6 weeks.

IF Mane keeps getting injured, finishing 4th wont happen this season.

Our shocking transfer window has seen to that it’s bad enough with our goalies and CB’s now our main attacker is out
