    17-game League.

Hit the reset button in your head.

    There's a 17-game League to come.

If we win that League, we win the title.

We have a 4-point cushion as a safety net, but we aim not to have to "dip in" to it.

Get as many of them as well-rested as we can for Brighton. Play rotation/fringe in the FA Cup.

Never play Wijnaldum, Henderson and Milner as a midfield three again. Individually fine, but that triumvirate at once has had its' day. Play Fabinho where possible and bed Keita in where possible as we have a Champion's League campaign and a title campaign and the sooner he gets up to speed, the better.

    It begins now.

The next game is everything. A win and this match will be a distant memory. A loss or draw immediately after this will put the cst amongst the pigeons.

Wouldn't be surprised if we see a warm weather break for a few days now.

    Regroup and start again.

Nothing to suggest from tonight that the wheels will fall off.

Edit: Bollox, forgot about the FA game on Monday. Give front 3 and back 4 a rest for that.

A loss shouldn't occur against Brighton. If it does, it's entirely our own fault.

The media will be full of drivel about us getting utterly outclassed tonight. The fact is that Kompany should have been off, we've had the ball just 11mm from being over their line and they've had to clear it off their own line frantically 3 or 4 times. Our chances were 11mm away or rebounded off the post - theirs snuck in.

Klopp claims that he and the players don't pay attention to the media. If that's true, they can ignore the title race narrative.

In our next 5 League games we play 0 rivals from within the top six sides - City have to play two of them.

We've lost our first game in 21 and that's our first time conceding more than one goal in a match in the League this season. So it's very much up to us to continue the pattern of keep clean sheets (or only conceding one) and creating/finishing more opportunities - Fabinho helps to cover our back four and simultaneously is great at feeding our attack and our attack is more than capable of scoring the 1 (or 2) goals necessary to beat opposition sides 90% of the time.

Alisson is still here. Van Dijk is still here. Our front three is still here. Fabinho will grow into the season even more - best of all, we don't have to play City again (in the League at least) so we can go out and beat Brighton and see where we are - then Palace - and so on.

We have to ensure we maintain the focus we had prior to the game, as, if we do, we will be absolutely fine. City's defence still looks wobbly and they're still the side that have lost 3 games recently, not us.

    Let's dig deep.

April 20th (City v Spurs) looks a fixture to pencil into the diary - one of our rivals could potentially do us an enormous favour there if they're both still fighting for the title at that stage.

My sentiment too. Cities win has given them hope but if we do what we have been doing we will snuff out the flicker.

Next league game is massive. Win and we are still the real deal. Drop points and the media will be all over us. Need to keep them off our backs or they’ll be creaming all over Manchester!
