The problem is that gomez is out for another 6 weeks. By the time he is back to being match fit it could be too late

"I wouldn't say nerves are showing," said 24-year-old Liverpool left-back Andrew Robertson. "Did anyone say that when City dropped points against Crystal Palace and Leicester? I don't think they did.

"It's no different for us. People talk about pressure because we've not been in this position, but it's February.

"Everyone needs to relax and try and enjoy the run-in. Many other clubs want to be in the position we're in just now. Nerves aren't showing in the changing room. It's been two poor results and poor performances, it happens during a long season.

"We need to get back to playing the better football we can, but it's nothing to do with nerves. We're having a wee blip and we need to just try and get over the line in a couple of games.

    Well said Robbo.

All doom and gloom. 62 points after 25 games. Top of the league. Lost 1 game all season in the league.

Fooking shit performance, should have won every single game.

The season is over. We have lost the league for sure now. We should have signed Koubaliy , and Werner, and Ramsey on a free, and got in a back up £70m goalkeeper for Alisson.

We are never going to keep a clean sheet, or score again. Firming shit. Mané inconsistent, Salah already gone (Heskey).

Midfield never creates. Keita overrated, Matip awful. Klopp should have got in 3 players in January.

City better than us, Spurs too, Chelsea , Man U to get the top 4.

We've lost the league already, only 3 points ahead. Last season 20 points behind.

What a shit season. We've bottled it. 2 draws on the trot. No way are we going to win the league now.

A few satirical musings. Honestly we've done phenomenally well up till January. Not been at our best but got fantastic results. It's no coincidence fans and players alike are saying theres a lot more to come from this group.

Since January it's been pretty poor results and performances imo.
    Played 5 won 2 drew 2 lost 1.
A measly 1.6 points per game. A 1.1 point per games drop off since the new year.

In 5 pl games scored more than 1 goal on a solitary occasion.
Only in the palace game have 2 of our front 3 scored, naturally enough from our results. Not 1 goal assisted by a front 3 player in January from 8 goals. They have scored all our goals in January tbf.

Last 3 games we've defended poorly by our own standards. Conceding more than 1 on 2 occasions for the first time in the league. Registering 1 clean sheet.

Dropped 5 points from winning/drawn positions.

I dont get the doom and gloom but there is plenty of concern about getting out of this rut. Whilst we need to see if we win the league or not for the bottler tag to even fit.

Dunno why people seem to take the piss out of us who were calling for transfers into the club. It's how we've improved most under Klopp. Maybe the media has got ye thinking we've spent too much money on players already and do not want to become known as big spenders like erm Everton!!

People have said that "there is a lot more to come from this group", but rather than that actually happening, we've seen the opposite occur.

That is extremely worrying, especially as we're likely to get more and more fatigued as the season progresses, namely because we don't have a 'deep' squad. You would have thought the trip to Dubai would have helped in this and other regards, but by the looks of things it's made things worse, not better.

It's not fatigue, they're leggy because they're nervous which is perfectly understandable.

Multiple injuries in key position are clearly taking their toll but if Klopp didn't think we needed reinforcements in January he'll have to stand by that at the end of the season. They'll be a few twists to come yet, City aren't about to ride off into the sunset.

If you take the emotion out of winning the league we are in an incredible position if you were offered this record at the start of the season you’d take that to.

The only thing i’d have done different is keep Clyne as that frees Milner up to play in midfield.....But we don’t know if he was causing problems.

After this weekend we have a 10 day rest which is good in terms of getting hopefully 4 players back TAA Lovren Gini Henderson.
