From what I've seen West Ham are utter crud. They waved the white flag (as do most other teams) before they'd even stepped on the pitch against City, and I'd say it's going to be a similar story for most of the season.
Or you could just admit they're streets ahead of most of the league.

This season will be different they will win it with ease and as I said last season they have the PL on lockdown whilst Pep is there.

As for GD nobody will get near them so its not worth worrying about.
They to all intents and purposes have the PL on 'lockdown' whilst their current overlords are in charge and whilst UEFA/The FA/PL do sweet FA about their cheating ways. They may drop off slighty when Pep leaves, but not by too much, whilst it's likely we'll get a fair bit worse once Klopp leaves, especially given FSG's way of doing things which requires a certain type and quality of manager to succeed.

It's not the simple game anymore.
Var is the worst thing to happen to football.

We're streets ahead of most of the league, but most teams still make us work for our points. Do you seriously think teams like Norwich will play the way they did against us against City? Not a chance.

Like I said, we are and always have been a 'scalp', whilst City are seen as some all powerful juggernaut that are either going to kill you, or kill you very painfully, with most teams opting for the former at the cost of a chance of coming away from the fight if not with a victory or draw, at least with an honourable defeat.

Yes it is. If it was a step forward, so many people wouldn't be against it.

We could have hit Norwich for 6 or 7 last night. Krul kept the score low. So despite teams busting their gut we still won by a margin.

Let's not get too excited. The so feared team lost 4 times last season against supposed teams that will lie down for them. City are very good so are we. Let's look after our business and see where it ends. Let is not draw curtains after 2 games of a 380 PL season.

I was in favour of VAR a few years ago but after seeing it in action I now dont think it works well and takes far too long.

Now it is here one improvement I would make is the people watching VAR in the little rooms should make the decision like they do in cricket.....as I still think big players can influence refs on the pitch.

As for City they are miles ahead of most teams especially outside the top 6...anyone who wants to won the league will need a minimum of 92 points.
