As much as Matip has been good he lacks pace and with Arsenals speed up front Gomez could get the nod ahead of him.
Saying that I'm more than happy with Matip, he's been fantastic for us.

The first report said 4-6 weeks, the next one said 6-8 weeks, then Klopp said it could be a few weeks but really couldn’t be sure. Another 4 weeks would be my guess.

I hope we can sort our defending out soon. The amount of clear chances we’re conceding is a worry.

Fingers crossed he gets back inside the month. It’s tough enough for any team to get the back line sorted so early into a season even without losing a first choice keeper of Alisson’s class..

    More likely from Klopp 433
    Adrian
    TAA Gomez VVD Robertson
    Hendo Fabinho Milner/Gini
    Salah Firmino Mane
^^^toss of a coin between Gini and Milner. Suspect Gini would start and Milner off the bench.

More my own team setup and selection issues if that makes sense.
    Adrian
    TAA Gomez VVD Robertson
    Fabinho Gini/Hendo
    Salah Firmino/Hendo/Milner/AOC Mane
    Firmino/Origi

Would love to see Origi start this one tbh, but if so then Hendo misses out and can't see that happening tbh

    Adrian
    TAA Gomez VVD Robertson
    Fabinho Gini
    Salah Firmino Mane
    Origi

Think we'll be better off with a double 6 in a 42X setup for this one whichever way we start personnel wise.

Arsenal are fairly happy at the minute with their transfer window and although they think a draw or one goal loss wouldnt be a disaster. They do come with genuine hopes of getting a win.
This is their litmus test, super cup and should be a cracker. They are naturally nervous of coming to Anfield given recent years.

No point in rushing Alisson back. Calves cant be tricky and could go again. Needs to be fully fit before he returns

Shaqiri did his calf in the summer but seems impatient to get back!

Hope Ox plays and scores against his former club.
