We should finish top of our group but we’ll be in for a tough game whoever we draw after that.

Good draw on paper! Very pleased.

Group F looks tasty. Could Barca be on their way out in the group stage? Let's hope not, as I can see them beating City later on and I'd love to see them play each other.

    Tuesday - September 17th - Napoli v Liverpool
    Wednesday - October 2nd - Liverpool v Salzburg
    Wednesday - October 23rd - Genk v Liverpool
    Tuesday - November 5th - Liverpool v Genk
    Wednesday - November 27th - Liverpool v Napoli
    Tuesday - December 10th - Salzburg v Liverpool

Here is where those fixtures are "sandwiched" in -

    vs Newcastle [H] Saturday
    vs Napoli [A] Tuesday
    vs Chelsea [A] Sunday

    vs Sheffield [A] Saturday
    vs Salzburg [H] Wed
    vs Leicester [H] Saturday

    vs Man Utd [H] Saturday
    vs Genk [A] Wed
    vs Spurs [H] Sunday

    vs Villa [A] Saturday
    vs Genk [H] Tuesday
    vs Man City [H] Saturday

    vs Palace [A]Saturday
    vs Napoli [H] Wed
    vs Brighton [H]Saturday

    vs Bmouth [A] Saturday
    vs Salzburg [A] Tuesday
    vs Watford [H] Saturday

Away to Genk in-between matches against United and Spurs is a tad annoying. Away to Napoli followed by a Chelsea match could be better but at least Napoli is a Tuesday.

    Should be alright.

It's a good time to be a Liverpool fan again. I remember the late eighties when manure weren't even on the map. Ah good times!!! Long may it last. We just need number 19 now!

Had a man city fan jibing about how Liverpool have never won the premier league. By that logic if they change the name to just "the Carabao league" next year then they'll have won nothing!!

I also like that we get our trickiest group game out of the way first. Get a decent result there and we could have conceivably won the group after the second Genk game leaving opportunities for some of the non cunty fringe players.

Nah, all of Genks fringe players are of the cunty variety ;-)

It's certainly not the worst draw in the world, we should be able to top that group without too many problems.

The only group that doesn't seem to have two obvious qualifiers is the Barcelona, Dortmund, Inter group. That could be a bit interesting to follow.
