Your team v Genk (Champion's League group game, 2nd meeting)

    .....................Alisson

    Trent.......Gomez......Van Dijk....Robertson

    ......................Fabinho

    ...........Oxlaide.......Wijnaldum

    ....Mane...........Firmino........Origi

    Notes -

I want Oxlaide to play against City, so giving him some time here seems valuable.

I want Wijnaldum or Milner to play (with Fabinho and Ox) against City and am playing Wijnaldum in this game with a view to possibly giving Milner the call in the City match.

Apparently Lovren was awful today (followed the game with ticker-tape style updates so cannot comment fully on player performances) so looking at Gomez for this one with a view to getting him ready for the City game.

Apparently Salah was awful today so taking him out for a match may not be the worst thing.

Apparently Henderson was awful today so taking him out for a match or two (I want Oxlaide against City, calculated risk of attacking quality versus defensive/transitional work ethic) might be no bad thing.

    Allisson

    Gomez Lovren Van Dijk Robertson

    Milner Fabinho Oxlade

    Salah Firmino Mane

Giving Trent as rest, sticking with Mo as a goal would be great for him, I'd get Robbo off after an hour if the game allows and bring Keita on

I would even be tempted to drop Bobby or Salah for City. If Divock performs he deserves a run in the team and inverse if others are not performing they need time put. Time out might bring hunger and harder work on the basics in training. Sometimes dropping a player helps a player.

I would give Keita a go instead of Wijnaldum and play Salah instead of Mane . I agree on Gomez.

    Alisson
    Trent Gomez Van Dijk Milner
    Ox Fabinho Keita
    Salah Origi Elliott

Some minutes for Gomez Ox and Keita
    A breather for Robbo
A chance for Salah to regain some confidence with a goal or two

Salah didn't look fit at all. I'd play someone else.

Its a game we can make a few changes Origi Milner Gomez to come in.

I’d rest Mane for this one wouldn’t want to see him get hurt diving

Lovren played well yesterday to be fair and although we weren’t in top form Villa weren’t that unlucky as all 3 VAR decisions went their way.

    Alisson
    Gomez Lovren VVD Robertson
    Milner Fabinho Ox
    Salah Firmino Origi

Bit of advice please lads, not been to a game for a while certainly not midweek one, but going to this one with my lad. Got a hotel a couple of miles away but will probably try to park near Anfield.

What’s the best bet, walk in or can someone recommend a parking place for an evening game?
