He might be Englands best player but he should be called out for it.

Joey Barton does it and he is a scouse thug whats the difference other than Sterling isnt a scouser.

He is a good player but he is a prick and his mask has slipped.

    This... all day long..

Not that he is the only one nor should he be vilified for it ( he is a young man who blew his top - twice in 2 days ) BUT it is pathetic how both the England camp - sending him home but then reversing the decision and asking him to come back - and the media have bent over backwards to do whatever they can NOT to call this out for what it is..

I have usually defended Raheem but as with Suarez - I have lost all affinity.. Why is nobody talking about how Joe Gomez must be feeling in all this..?

Ah yes - that's right cause nobody gives a shite.. He isn't a media darling

Joey Barton IS a thug, where he comes from is irrelevant.
There are only 2 teams in Liverpool. Liverpool and Liverpool Reserves. (Bill Shankly)

    @Steveo

Unfortunately we are living in a time where offence is looked for & found in anything and everything, and a time where Personal responsibility is diminishing at a rapid rate in favour of excuse finding. This had lead to a situation where many people/groups of people purposely ignore the reality of things, namely because it means not having to deal with hard truths and personal/collective responsibility when it comes to the words and actions of themselves and the groups to which they belong.

England is a loving family and we've cleared the air and we're putting this behind us and moving forward but oh hang on Danny Rose wants to add something? And then he says "but we've moved on"!!!

Sterling has been hung out to dry...according to Rio Ferdinand... Ha! more like Gomez has, not a word of support for him from the England family.

This means that he is borderline untouchable. Come on guys you know how this stuff works right..? Rose's comments have been used to deflect attention away from Sterling and his behaviour. It's what happens when the Royal family are found to be using Caribbean TAX havens etc - or when a certain Prince gets embroiled in a sexual abuse scandal.. Deflect, obfuscate and at all costs - distract attention away..

Let's imagine we had lost at the Emptyhad and Milner had acted like Sterling had towards say Stones... And then at ST Georges the flare up occurred between the 2 with Milner putting Stones in a headlock for daring to say .."Hi'...

Does anyone think for one moment that Milner would have a voice from within the England camp going to the press with the notion that the booing at the Emptyhad was the root cause..? AND even IF he did have a supporting voice - do you believe BBC news would be plastering it on the front page?

EDIT: I notice the Beeb has very quickly removed the article from the home page... Now only the 4th article in Football.. hmm - somebody was very keen to get that one out there..

The bottom line is Sterling has behaved disgracefully and yet nobody in the media seems able to actually say the bleedin obvious.
    1st paragraph how, why ?
Sterling routinely bottles it in big moments and misses big chances, not exactly the stuff of international metal. Melts like butter, though a talented player.

Hey hey ho ho, gareth southgate has got to go!!
Watch his presser where he talks like a confused blithering dildo. Mortified for him.
    Southgate out !!

The narrative... sterling tried to get Gomez into a headlock, was Gomez tying his shoelaces?
When was the last time you tried to get someone in a headlock and ended up nearly pulling an eye out and leaving a big scratch along someone's face from the eye, back and to the left.
Headlock around the neck, attack clearly focused on damaging Gomez's right eye, most likely from behind given the cowardly fooks modus operandi.

Sterling became a useful idiot after brexit when the journos who covered him negatively found utility in defending him from their own treatment in espousing identity politics as is the norm with brexit discussion.
Hes allowed himself to be a middle to upper class play thing whilst really not having the consistency to play the part.
