City find ways to stop teams attacking when they over commit. You have to find ways around it. And Trents passing to the opposite side of the pitch was awesome.
Agreed. Trent was unbelievable yesterday, and he's improving all the time. Sure, he'll have the occasional off-day – who doesn't – but he's become completely undroppable. Credit to him and the academy. Robertson's not too shabby either.

That can change with some work on the stadium. More places for season ticket holders and special cheap U30/student seating would surely romp up the atmosphere another notch.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to the "redesign" of the next stage of the expansion?

Great point - The Anfield Road expansion.

Last I heard was new plans have been submitted for a BIGGER increase - Anfield to over 61,000....
I know it adds a little delay but I am pleased. We need more seats - especially affordable ones.. Looking further ahead... can you imagine a 70 or 75K Anfield...? Now that noise would surely be unreal..

That'd be something truly special. Expanding the stadium gradually over a period of 10-15 years (as they seem to be doing right now) seems like a good idea instead of doing it in one go.

I just remembered that they're still working on moving the Kirkby academy to Melwood, which will also cost a bunch of money so it might make sense to not let the projects overlap.

It's the other way round mate. Melwood has been sold, which seems a bit of a shame. Not sure when the transition takes place.

Lfc v city, is this the top fixture in world football? Imo it's a yes.

In terms of individual quality and the football itself, I think it's hard to argue for another fixture.
