Saudi State In Newcastle Takeover Talks

Some stories breaking on Twitter that the Saudis who were rumoured to be in talks with the Glazer's over a takeover are in advanced talks to take over Newcastle. I suppose the fact that they've been shat on from a height by Ashley for so long might make the fans more receptive to the idea of this regime buying the club but I think if it was us I'd be pretty negative towards the idea.

If it happens now it makes the battle to get back to the top more difficult for likes of mufc arsenal spurs.
Came see it having the sort of payoff that city got from their sugar daddies though. Different times now.

    What do ye all reckon.

imagine being owned by "Saudi Arabia's Sovereign Wealth Fund "

Good luck to them anyway, can't fault the fans been waiting long enough for ashley to go.. and they do deserve better, that club does as a whole.

Won't be done overnight though eitherway, look at utd and how much they've spent, lols

I've always wondered how Steve Bruce would do with a proper transfer kitty.

Wonder who they'd get in...Rafa? Keegan? Guardiola? lol

One thing the Saudis can’t do is move Newcastle and that’s always going to give them issues in attracting Europe’s top players.
Wouldn’t bother me in the slightest anyway, while we have this manager and these owners it doesn’t really matter what anyone else does. European & World Champions while about to be crowned Premier League Champions, breaking allll sorts of records in the process, both on and off the field. All done in the proper way and spending less than Everton.

It really doesn’t get any better than this.

I certainly wouldn’t want to be owned by the Saudi regime, but I can imagine the geordies being excited, if a little concerned about the ethical aspects. Mbappe to be unveiled any time now
I bet you can squeal like a pig!

Unfortunately I think it's an unavoidable consequence of the world we live in.....The reason some of the richest people in the Country wanted to leave EU is so they could cost up with all the worst regimes in the world with no check or balances in place...
No matter what we do....if we spend money in this world we contribute to all that's wrong in the World....
