I just do not trust BoJo and his boys to sort this out. They have made too many U turns.
Scotland seems to always take a lead that England follows. Can't see them doing another one for stupid reasons of pride and not wanting to look ridiculous
    Boris Johnson Mastermind? Control freak?
Not sure if he has ever recovered from his illness. Even when critically ill he never passed over command.

I agree, CCTV.. but isn't it amazing to see busy streets full of happy people not wearing masks?

and this is what it looks like when an independent-minded politician asks important and well thought out questions of the scientists responsible for these policies. If only we had some of that now in this country. Unfortunately Labour's only criticism is currently about how much testing in done, which seems irrelevant to me.

What about the unhappy people who are not in your landscape?

Surely Taksin the Labour criticism is with regard to the disfunctionality of the test, trace and isolate system. It is BoJo and his boys who constantly bang on about how much testing is being done and how much it will increase.

Yes I think they're both misguided. But I'd like to see opposition to the lockdown, especially as there are many highly eminant scientists expressing disagreement with the advice the govenrment is taking. Otherwise we are just going to have to wait for the full effects of these measures to be felt, by which time it will be too late.

I don't understand what you're saying here, SR. I was talking about the landscape of Sweden (not my landscape), where people are going about more or less normal life, socialising without much in the way of restrictions and without fear of each other (symbolised by the mask). In contrast, we are going backwards.

In the footage put together by the young Israeli guy, people look relaxed and happy, which people do not look here. That's what we used to look like, but that's what they look like now.

    Hi Taksin,
I was referring to the picture you are portraying as being just a snapshot. Behind the buildings captured in your picture may lie quite different stories.
Regarding scientists it seems to me that the general consensus supports various lockdown strategies but some of those are starting to contemplate herd immunity.
I guess only time will tell what was the right thing to do.
On a different note you mentioned somewhere that a different and perhaps far worse pandemic is maybe coming down the tracks in the next few years. Can you shed any more light on this? I think that would really knock everyone for 6!

    Take care
