You certainly can deny that. The facts and figures are in. The studies have been conducted. They make no difference. There is a possibility that they make things worse according to the data

The studies have been done and those working in supermarkets and similar establishments had no tendency towards infections above the wider society norm. Amazingly, frontline hospital workers also had no worse outcomes than the general public, even those in lockdown. You may recall that this information goes against the general media impression that was painted, especially in the case of NHS workers.

There has been no end of mis-information given and misunderstanding promoted during this event.
I know someone who works in a very busy well known supermarket.

Seems no staff have amazingly not had covid. (Or at least no one has said they have had it)

    Probably the worst places to get covid;
    Hospitals
    Doctors surgery
    Supermarkets

    So Taksin

What do you want to happen in 2021 ?

    Ps
    Hospitals are full treating covid
An extra 35,000 people have died in the last 9 months in England. (4000 a month excess approximately)
Borders are closed ( at least they are controlling their borders)

How? I believe tier 4 and keeping the schools open makes no difference and it's completely pointless for everyone involved

How are pubs etc still surviving I'll never know

And with a lockdown it takes 2-3 weeks to see the difference

At the last count there were 23 studies coming to this conclusion.

If you watch some of the Ivor Cummins videos posted above you see comparisons of the mortality curves in different countries where one has strict locksdown and one doesn't such as

    Peru versus Brazil
    Belgium versus Sweden

or with similar lockdowns such as

    Uruguay versus Argentina
    Switzerland versus Austria
    Thailand versus Vietnam

or neighbouring US states with different policies such as

    North versus South Dakota
    Florida versus Virginia

and other comparative studies such as of

the neighbouring southern peninsula of Sweden and the northern peninsula of Denmark, which are similar geographically with similar living conditions and populations.

No pattern can be discerned indicating the positive effects of lockdown

There is also, for example, the revelation from New York, observing strict lockdown, that 62% of those presenting to hospital with Covid-19 had been isolating strictly.

That's the time from getting ill to death. So what we should see is a lag where the death rate reduces in locations where lockdowns are imposed (compared to the unrestricted locations). We don't. The virus goes about its business as usual, in normal and natural patterns.

Apart from the epidemiological spike in March April, which was a classic Gompertz curve, I think we will see winter of 2020 / 21 has relatively normal mortality. That is to say the same or similar numbers of people will die this winter as they do every winter. If that is true, one will have to ask what all the fuss was about.

In terms of governments not admitting they were mistaken, they will keep claiming that their lockdown interventions saved us from things being much worse, even though the science will show that to be wrong. And ultimately, their vaccines saved us from Covid, even though the science will not back that up.

Seeing as no-one is asking the tough questions, we won't notice that they are talking rubbish.

I'd like us to go back to normal life. If we need more hospital capacity this winter, we'll have to improvise it, which we have already shown we can do to a far greater capacity than needed.
