Almost everyone else is living on reduced finances since this virus started.
You'd like to think so but the people at the top would have to do it as well otherwise i'm not sure how you could ask an employee/player to do it.

The greed is incredible like a few have said £12m for an agent is stupid money.

The summer at the end of the 20/21 season had the potential to be an intriguing window if things are remotely closer to being more "normal".

Leroy Sane and Ferran Torres would be out of contract and available on frees and the list of players with just one year left on their contracts contains some Dynamite -

    Kylian Mbappe,
    Jadon Sancho
    Kai Havertz
    Paulo Dybala

to name a few. Some of the top clubs will be absolutely scrambling.

Also, just another silver lining to add -

Imagine just how motivating it will be for someone like Elliott or Brewster to NOT see another attacker brought into the Squad.

The journos know full-well they'll get clicks from Liverpool fans, plus we're a really top side now and thus agents will feed the press with stuff so as to get their players a pay rise because Liverpool are "linked" - it's a double-whammy in terms of incentivising all the links.

As it stands, I trust our club to continue the patient, diligent work that assembled a Champion's League winning (and soon to be League winning) team over the course of 4 seasons at a net spend of just under £100m.

We have absolutely bossed the transfer market these last few years and the coaching staff, players, Klopp, Edwards and almost anyone attached to the club right now can give themselves a huge pat on the back.

We have a winning squad, with an eminently likeable manager, a group of players that we love, a style of play that is very watchable and it was all done sustainably without Oil-money.

We are living the Dream right now and I just hope more people can learn to enjoy it.

    Agree to a point...

But you are massively underplaying the importance of Klopp - IMO

This should be filed under - biggest understatement of the century....

Not my intent - Klopp's an absolutely enormous factor to this. FSG did have the wit to go after him thankfully. They're not perfect owners, but no owners are.

For clarity's sake, I want to double-underline and capitalise that the following statement isn't aimed at you and is just a sentiment I want to put out into the ether for those it DOES apply to - we're weeks away from our first League title in 30 years and people need to stop fretting over a side that won 4 matches from their last 11 managing to buy a £50m player in very uncertain times and instead embrace what an incredible squad we have as it is.

“ we're weeks away from our first League title in 30 years and people need to stop fretting over a side that won 4 matches from their last 11”

Why is that mate... why can’t people fret? Why does it worry you when others worry...?

    Don’t worry about it...

I guess I worry that others worry because I'm worrying about what I shouldn't worry about.

This worry about worry is worrying me! Why aren't you worried about people worrying about the inevitable worries we have to worry about?
