Didn't Chelsea have a buy back first on Ake?they need a defender. They cant really rate him if that's the case.

    "another rumour"

Liverpool are reportedly preparing a move for Bournemouth star Lloyd Kelly after missing out on the defender 12 months ago when he was at Bristol City.

The newly-crowned Premier League champions were alerted to Kelly’s potential after the youngster broke into Bristol City’s first-team back in 2017 but were beaten to his signature by Bournemouth last summer.

The Cherries wrapped up a £13million deal for Kelly and Eddie Howe has backed the 21-year-old to ‘go right to the top’ despite a frustrating debut season at the Vitality Stadium plagued by ankle, thigh and hamstring problems

Sounds like he might be a good replacement for both Lovren and Lallana.

I think they've got the 0 and 4 the wrong way round.
If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.

Indeed, but this is how these clubs operate - buy someone for silly money, then when your rival is linked with a player in the same position, the club that has the player can say "ah, but so and so cost this, so we want this" - imagine how expensive the next "big move" centre-back is likely to be considering United pair £80m for Maguire - it's bonkers.

And the clubs who suffer for this? The ones trying to be financially responsible.

    City are such clampets.

To Man City that fee is more like £0.004m.

Well you certainly got the first and last letter correct when it comes to an adequate description of Man City.

Chelsea make really odd signings.and transfers.
They once had a brilliant striker in Drrogba but since then they seem to have gone for people with known injury problems or past their best
    I.e.
    Shevchenko
    Dembe Ba
    Fernando Torres
    Drogba - resigning
    Eto'o
    Falcao
    None of whom really delivered.
There may be more - feel free to add.

And then they signed Diego Costa who really did deliver and they sold him.

They have also had on their books and much to their detriment
    Salah
    De Bruyne
    Lukaku
Once again there may be more
