By going with the petro dollars some players are pretty much pricing themselves out of a move anywhere else other than a similarly financed club.
Neymar being one of them. I cannot see anyone affording to take him from PSG and pay his ridiculous wages under the present economic circumstances. Even then.... I doubt there’s many would think he’s worth it even if they could afford him.
Was glad he failed to win the Champions League again, detest him and everything he stands for.

Same with lionel in a way despite hiw unbelievably good he is. Theres only PSG or City stupid enough to take him, Only they are immoral enough and blatantly financially irresponsible enough to buy him. At 33 theres absolutely no resale value on him at all for the price that would need to be paid. It just doesn't make any business sense at all,the money wouldnt get paid back even by half.

I couldn't see anyone paying Neymars transfer fee even before the pandemic. Same goes for Mbappe, who will surely now have to run down his contract to get a move.

Even when these players run down their contracts, who the hell will bring them into the dressing room on £500k a week???

I mean I guess he could move if he took a pay cut and rode out his contract. Like that's likely to happen...

Bale's contract expires in June 2022 at the same time as Mbappe's so Real will be able to afford it. That's the only realistic destination for him unless he fancies replacing Messi or Ronaldo. As I understand it even City don't pay those types of mega wages
