Re: Georginio Wijnaldum.. Ive been wondering why he wants to leave...
Just a thought at 29 he's at his alleged Peak ...and this would be his last big move and more importantly pay rise...

I don't know....but i doubt he is in the top earners bracket at LFC so Family and Future wise I guess a move makes a lot of sense to him......

He's been holding off on a new contract for a while now.....It does make you wonder how long Ronald Koeman has been in line for his new position?

BTW, when does the transfer window close?
The summer 2020 transfer window ends on 5 October.

A domestic-only window, during which Premier League clubs can only trade with those in the EFL, will run from 5 October to 17:00 BST on 16 October.

Klopp on potentially signing Messi: "No chance! The numbers are not for us."

"It will obviously help Man City and make it more difficult to beat them. For the PL, it would be great that would help but I am not sure the PL needs that boost. He's never played in another league. Football is different here. I'd like to see it. Not sure I will."

I posted on another thread a link to 'daily telegraph" about FFP rules during this virus pandemic but it lacks clarity. If anyone can add the necessary clarity then it is most welcome!

I cannot add any further clarity in terms of transparency as it is already crystal clear.

If you have the money and are actively sponsoring, states, business (banking) and infrastructure in Europe and the UK (Petrodollar investors) - you can do what the fook you like EVEN outside of the pandemic. You might be investigated - but it is for appearances sake only. You may even have bans handed down - BUT you won’t face any tangible obstacle on appeal.

    Erm....
Though tbf we probably weren't underdogs for at least the first 4-5 I'd imagine.

Perhaps 4? And even that’s a stretch and only due to being serial winners for 2 decades prior.

Let’s settle on 1 in 26... Which I think - even if you were being fairer-than-fair.......is pretty looooooooooong..

    Dear Steveo,

If you are looking at last 30 years (and not counting 1990 league win) then we have 12 trophies out of a possible 120.
I am including only league, FA cup, league cup and european cup compeitions (not super cups etc.)
    That is 1 in 10.
Also losing finalists in 5/6 cup finals
Close challengers for league 4 times
Much better than 1 in 26 however you care to look at it!
So let us agree on 1 in 10.
Now is that fairer than fair?

If Messi does end up at City it will free up funds for Wijnaldum for them..I don't get why we cant come to some agreement though.
