Liverpool could be set to challenge Chelsea for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to reports.

90 mins say the Reds could target the 27-year-old Croatian, who is reportedly also interesting Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, as an alternative to Thiago Alcantara.

They claim Liverpool, along with Man City and Man Utd, tracked the Inter man - who only has two years remaining on his contract - earlier in the year and could re-enter the race.

Non-story as far as I am concerned. At some stage in the next 1-3 years I think Edwards will negotiate a large fee for one of our front three to be sold to redevelop the next evolution of the side but I would be gobsmacked if it's this Summer.

I don't think it's about can, it's about want. We clearly don't value him that highly at present. We've spent big in the past and have overspent even under Edwards, if the target was extremely valuable to us for some reason - Oxo being a prime example.
