All these signings must be a real piss off for the Chelsea youngsters that were coming through and some Man U youngsters too.
Maybe Klopp sees something in our current young crop of first team possibles that means they deserve a chance of a first team future.

They had something like 30 players out on loan last season, absolutely crazy.

Some of their loanees never got much game time with Chelsea and went on to better things. Salah, Lukaku, De Bruyne.
I think they let them go for next to nothing.
Since then they now have quite big transfer values.
Should that show as a loss to Roman when he views his transfer policy profitability?

I don't think you can view it that way. They made a profit on all three of them iirc. Some will go on to better things, but many won't. If you make a profit on the player, it was probably worth it - some are bound to become excellent.

If they have 30 players on loan I'm sure they probably charge the club at least £500,000 a season loan fee plus the wages. That's £15 million a season profit.

I was trying to look at it from Roman's point of view as against a fan's point of view.
I think it is small change to Roman but from a fan viewpoint they may ask how did that happen when now we are buying such expensive players to compensate.
The only player I can think of from LFC point of view is Conor Coady.
