They're a company like any other, they're currently not doing business, face the potential of having to pay a huge chunk of TV money back or receive a hugely reduced amount of TV money from this season which will hugely affect their efforts to comply with FFP, they pay their fucking taxes unlike a lot of other companies already using the scheme because they also face a financial hit as a result of Coronavirus

It's like somebody working hard all their life, paying their taxes and them suffering a life changing event that leaves them unable to work and you claiming they're an asshole for taking disability benefit. There are plenty of cunts out there who don't pay in or pay their fair share who are using this scheme

Disagree. I also dont agree with your comparison with the likes of Starbucks and Amazon. We dont have a connection with them, they are not essentially public property and nobody would give a flying fuck if they disappeared. Football clubs are and have an obligation to act properly. This wasnt that and I will not be convinced otherwise. Theres blindly backing the club and then just being plain ridiculous.
It was shameful of them without question.

Its incredible that you can complain at length about greed and capitalism as you have and not see the wrong in this. They've gone and rectified it themselves now because the public backlash from both our own fans and opposition has been huge. It's got nothing to do with ffp that they took this decision. Saw a chance to save a few quid and pocket a few more quid themselves and tried to grab it. Glad it blew up in their faces. Klopp must be cringing with embarrassment if he's the man we all hope he is.

If Klopp IS against them on this, he certainly won't go public on it. Only his closest pals will be privy to that info.
If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.

Of course he won't. Maybe there was some internal pressure to reverse took though. Like if things haven't changed as 19 days in 2 or 3 months then you could understand it and most clubs will be attempting something but after 2 weeks??

I still keep coming back to the idea of Werner and him being used in a 4-2-3-1 with Firmino becoming the "10" to accommodate.

Could still use a 4-3-3 as well and give one of the front four a rest on the regular as 4 into 3 doesn't go, whilst having the option of the 4-2-3-1 to get all 4 of Mane, Salah, Firmino, Werner on the pitch.

The "10" position being occupied by Firmino in that scenario also means that when it comes to the "2" of the 4-2-3-1, we are under less pressure when it comes to keeping Ox and Keita fit simultaneously and it takes pressure off replacing Lallana, or indeed Milner when he goes.

Just feel it opens up a lot of doors relatively inexpensively (a £50m spend over, say, a £200m spend on a few players) without having to massively alter the chemistry of the squad by introducing a bunch of players at once.

If I were Mbappe, I would look at the Big Two in Spain and think "nope".

If you have the time / interest, look at their squad ages.

Then look at the goals scored/conceded, points accumulated etc and compare them to the previous 5-10 years.

Those sides are both past their peaks (still capable of winning things of course, but they aren't as strong) and it would only take a couple of seasons of the best players not going there for either side to be full of a mix of older players and younger ones incapable of filling their boots.

Real Madrid in particular need a lot of work on their first-team very soon, but for both clubs with the Hazard/Coutinho/Griezemann transfers not being as successful as they had hoped, other clubs (ours included) are far more attractive destinations potentially.

I cannot see any new signings or new contracts being considered without any club having been able to fully realise the financial and social implications of this virus. Maybe players will be cheaper. Maybe their wages will be more as a result of cheaper transfers but maybe less. Perhaps there may be a certain percentage of 'pay as you play'.
What is the true cost of this virus to football clubs (and the whole structure needs to be considered down to grass roots).
The TV deals will surely change. Travel implications too and insurance. Fans may be unwilling or unable to afford subscriptions or match attendance as they once did.
I do not see a return to the previous status quo - certainly not within the next few years.
