I wonder what would happen in the event of Sheffield United getting relegated next summer... I suppose the buy back price is fixed.

Liverpool are set to benefit from former midfielder Philippe Coutinho's Barcelona lifeline, with a further £4.4m due if the 28-year-old Brazilian makes another 14 appearances. (Mirror)

    From Klopp’s press conference:

On Xherdan Shaqiri's absence from the matchday squad...

I cannot and don't want to say anything about that. The only thing, he's not injured and there were no disciplinary reasons. So he didn't do anything wrong. It's just the time of the year where sometimes the manager gets some information and then I have to react on that. We will see what happens
    .

I can only assume that there has been interest, and he’s on his way.

Unless we are getting 'an offer we can't refuse', I'd rather keep hold of Shaq, whilst letting a few others go instead. I know he's injury prone, but when he is fit he's a good player and offers the kind of technique, strength, and composure that we were severely lacking last night.

Any idea which clubs are in for Shaqiri?. Be interested if they are in this league.

I think someone mentioned The Toon on another thread.

Agreed a very useful weapon to have and would have been perfect last night for sure - however - Klopp’s post match presser all but confirmed he is off.

It might be, though we may have a clause in the contract in fairness.

I know they're off to a bad start but I'd still be a touch surprised if they got relegated truthfully.

Brewster gone to Sheff Utd for £23.5m, includes a buy back that's valid for 3 years.
