How did the club manage to get so much for Brewster ? he isn't even an established premier league player. We should get about £40m for Origi if thats the case.
If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.

Not seen it confirmed on here yet but anyway it is....

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder described Rhian Brewster as "one of the country's hottest properties" after signing the striker from Liverpool.

The 20-year-old has joined the Blades on a five-year contract for a club-record deal worth £23.5m.

The package for the England Under-21 forward includes a buy-back option for three years and the Reds will get 15% of any sell-on fee.

"He has been our number one target," said Wilder.

"At the top of the pitch we have one of the country's hottest properties from Liverpool and for him to sign permanently here is fantastic for everyone concerned.

Apparently wilder approached lfc with a detailed breakdown of how they intended to use him. Were they looking for a loan move initially if that's the case?

Read somewhere we're not huge fans of loans for prospect anymore. We prefer to sell them and insert a reasonable buy-back clause, since we feel that forces their new club to treat them more seriously.

Don't know how true it is.

It also maybe shows our current front 3 won't be going anywhere soon.
    We'll here's hoping.

I mean it's not impossible that we think that the 150m we'd get for Mane or Salah next summer isn't worth the extra three years we'd get from them, even if they're in their thirties.

Can see the logic in that.

We can loan a player out to a club and said club can decide after 3-6 games "nah, we'll give someone else a go" and the player you loaned out is on the bench for most of the season.

A club that purchases a player is more likely to actually play them to warrant the spending and thus the player shouuuuld develop.
