    Score predictions week 38 results and the 39th and final set of fixtures

    Week 38 results

    The last game of the penultimate set of fixtures ended spectacularly last night with the mighty Reds headed by the magnificent Jurgen Klopp, and led by the outstanding Jordan Henderson, finally getting their hands on the PL trophy. It would have been a great piece of foresight if anyone had managed to get that scoreline spot on, but as it is, some would just have been glad to get a single point for predicting that we'd win the game.

    So would anyone post a score that would set them up for a possible taste of glory come the end of the final set of fixtures this Sunday, be it winning the whole competition or getting into Europe, notably one of the CL places? The answer to that question was a resounding yes.

    In third place this week was Reddownunder who managed to score nine points, a total that on the surface of things would seem like a good score. Just ahead of him in second place with ten points was Charliev. He needed a good score this week and he managed to get one. He'll be hoping for the same on Sunday to help him claim a place in the CL. Then we come to this week's winner. They do say that timing is everything, and that applies to most things in life, especially when it comes to any kind of competition. Hopefully timing his run to perfection, this week's winner was little old me Mr RedNoodle. I top scored with thirteen points, my best total (I think) for quite a while. Was this return to form perfectly timed? We'll soon find out.

    This week's special mentions go to Charliev who was the only person to get the Watford scoreline spot on, Redebreck who was the only person to predict that Aston Villa would beat Arsenal, and yours truly who managed to correctly predict three scorelines, with those being the Norwich, Wolves, and Bournemouth scores.

    Week 38 scores

    RedNoodle = 13 points (3 perfect scores and 4 correct result)

    Charliev = 10 points (2 perfect scores and 4 correct results)

    Reddownunder = 9 points (1 perfect score and 6 correct results)

    Balinkay = 8 points (1 perfect score and 5 correct results)

    Fayyazms = 6 points (1 perfect score and 3 correct results)

    Dicko1969 = 5 points (5 correct results)

    CCTV = 5 points (5 correct results)

    Ianlfc = 4 points (1 perfect score and 1 correct result)

    Redebreck = 4 points (4 correct results)

    Current standings

    So how would those scores affect the table going into the final set of fixtures? Well at the top of the table Reddownunder's lead over me, Mr RedNoodle, is down to just two points. Balinkay in third is a further thirteen points behind, so it looks like it's a final day 'shootout' for the title between myself and Reddownunder. As if my fingernails haven't been bitten to buggery as it is!

    Balinkay is nine points ahead of Dicko1969, who is three points ahead of Fayyazms, so it looks like Balinkay has all but secured his place in next season's CL. The final CL place will also be a shootout, but this one will be between Dicko1969, Fayyazms, and Charliev who himself is only three points further back in 6th. Elsewhere nothing has really changed, though any of the bottom three could still save themselves from 'relegation' if any of them decide to put in a set of predictions. Poor old Nineteenx could yet find himself falling through the trapdoor.

    League table

    Reddownunder = 293

    RedNoodle = 291

    Balinkay = 278

    Joetan = 228

    3underpar = 195

    Southernboy = 193

    Justme = 190

    Nineteenx = 187

    Nice Noods! I think you forgot to add Rdu's score to the table though.

    I guess the title's out of my reach, but I'll take CL! Gradual growth and all that...
