    2020/21 Score predictions sign up thread and week 1 fixtures

    Anyone who is interested in participating in this years score predictions league should make their interest known by posting their predictions for the opening week set of fixtures in this thread.

    As with last year, if anyone wants to make any suggestions as to the rules then post them in here and if enough people want something changed from last year then I'll look to make the necessary changes.

    Week 1 fixtures


    Saturday 12th Sept

    Fulham v Arsenal (12:30)

    Crystal Palace v Southampton

    West Ham United v Newcastle United

    Liverpool v Leeds United (17:30)

    Sunday 13th Sept

    West Bromwich Albion v Leicester City (14:00)

    Tottenham Hotspur v Everton (16:30)

    Monday 14th Sept

    Brighton & Hove Albion v Chelsea (20:00)

    Sheffield United v Wolverhampton Wanderers (20:00)

    I'd personally prefer to change the scoring system as follows: guess the result - 2 points, guess the exact result - 4 points. This way a perfect prediction is only twice as good as a correct one. So guessing City - Fulham 6-0 but it only being 5-0 doesn't penalise you quite as much.

    Guessing the "goal difference" (e.g. you say 2-0 but it's 3-1) could also give 3 points instead of 2. I'm generally in favour of that, even if it is a bit gimmicky.

    I like Balinkay's idea but I guess that would mean more working out for noods, it already seems a right ballache.

    How about this ?

    Guessing Right Score = 4 points
    Guessing Right Score ( More than 4 goals ) = 6 points
    Guessing Right Result = 2 points
