    20/21 Score predictions week 1 results and week 2 fixtures

    Week 1 results

    It has only been a few weeks since Reddownder won the 19/20 predictions league, and in the process agonisingly denying me back to back titles, but due to the chaos caused by Covid 19 the new season is already upon us. I'm sure last years champ will be looking to do what I could not and retain his crown, but I along with the rest of the league will be trying our best to claim the title for ourselves.

    Given the unique circumstances surrounding football at the moment It was always going to be difficult to know for sure exactly what to expect from any of the teams/matches this week, so I for one was not expecting any big scores, and whilst for most that did indeed prove to be the case, a small number of competitors did manage to accrue a decent total from the opening set of fixtures, especially given that both sets of Mancs had their games postponed.

    As per usual there was at least one game that a few people managed to get spot on, with that game this week being the Brighton v Chelsea game. Skyebo, Balinkay, Kev0909 and Dicko1969 all correctly predicted this scoreline which helped them all to a four way tie for third place this week with six points apiece. In second place was BlackSalmon (or should your other half be getting the credit?), who scored eight points despite not being one of those to get the Brighton scoreline spot on. However in first place hoping that this is a sign of things to come, was CCTV who managed to get three scores spot on which helped him to a week winning total of eleven points.

    This week's special mentions go to BlackSalmon for being the only person to get the West Brom scoreline spot on, Ianlfc for being the only person to predict that Newcastle would win, and Dicko1969 for doing likewise in regards to Wolves' victory.

    CCTV = 11 points (3 perfect scores and 2 correct results)

    BlackSalmon = 8 points (2 perfect scores and 2 correct results)

    Balinkay = 6 points (1 perfect score and 3 correct results)

    Dicko1969 = 6 points (1 perfect score and 3 correct results)

    Kev0909 = 6 points (1 perfect score and 3 correct results)

    Skyebo = 6 points (1 perfect score and 3 correct results)

    Joetan991 = 5 points (1 perfect score and 2 correct results)

    Fayyazms = 4 points (4 correct results)

    Redebreck = 4 points (4 correct results)

    RedNoodle = 4 points (4 correct results)

    Charliev = 3 points (3 correct results)

    Ianlfc = 3 points (3 correct results)

    Reddownunder = 3 points (3 correct results)

    Justme = 2 points (2 correct results)
