Well if you were in fact created, you can’t get away from the fact that you have a Creator

If we ask who created your parents and go on the infinite regress, we end up saying you were created by amoebas or those fish that started walking in the mud.

That’s not a very satisfying creation myth is it. In fact, it’s essentially the argument for contingency that proves God’s existence, which is at least a thousand years old. So it’s not like you’ve come up with any new answers, justme

whos we??its not satisfactory because its true. there is no requirement for a god in the natural order of things.
Theists just want a predestined reason for their existence..and to exist once they are DEAD.. so a god gives them a meaning.
I was not created. if humans were created. we wouldnt suffer from untold amount of diseases. This god seems unable to create a being that doesnt suffer.. The good old cancer.. i mean thats grately created by this being.

The classical idea of God is that he is not in the natural order of things, he is outside of them. And that he is a necessary being to explain the universe - which means, contrary to the instincts of justme, he is needed whether we understand what that entails or not

A thread about Brendan Rogers is probably not the place to explore those proofs but its worth saying that your simplistic dismissals of the biggest question in life are not very philosophically aware

A lot of theological problems are caused by the assumption that God is a being. The invisible man with a beard who sits on a cloud and grants wishes.

Perhaps God is not a being, but a state of being. Now stop fighting and love each other. (If you want)

God is us and we are god. Is god just an appreciation of something so precious we’ve yet to see signs of it anywhere else with all our technological advancements? Life. Which would mean there both is and isn’t a god depending on how you view things.
