Thread: 12 games to go - Man City and Liverpool

Is this not the perfect season for jurgen, he has always wanted a mid season break which has finally happened he knows better than anyone what to do and how to manage that break, how we've played since it is a few levels ahead of the other teams inbthe league. Its seriously impressive out of herr klopp, but we shouldn't be surprised.

Not sure anyone should be surprised by it. It's pretty much the norm of the last few seasons.

Since we got thumped by Spurs and Lovren coming off at half time back in October 2017 our record has been ridiculous. Only spoiled last season by the fact we had zero defenders for large parts of the season.

That Spurs game was quite clearly the turning point for this side.

Indeed jozza. We have been immense since then.

Despite the annoyance of the circumstances around refereeing and VAR yesterday, our job in the League challenge hasn't really changed - we have 12 League games left and we have to win them all, whilst maintaining a better goal difference than Man City.

It was a huge ask then, is still a huge ask now, but watching the challenge will be exhilarating and being in the position to give it a go is all we ever wanted when things weren't great at LFC for much of the 90s and 00s.

A win in the League Cup Final to become the record 9-times holders would give us a boost going forward.

We're in the discussion. Whatever happens this season, it's a great time to be a Red.

Yeah terrible game and terrible keeper ie Mignolet .. in one of the goals he came running out to the edge of his box and never got half way to the ball.Kane rounded him easily.

Dias has been ruled out for 4 to 6 weeks for City. That's a big loss for them and it may exstend to our game in April.

That could potentially throw a spanner in the works for them, any knock to Foden for 3 or 4 weeks would be the thing that would be most likely to upset their apple cart, he's their main man, above all the others, gets crucial goals and assists, but most of all, he is excellent and relentless in the press and counter pressing, and when he doesn't play, the rest of them aren't anywhere near the same levels at it as he's the one who drives it.

Guardiola has blatantly adopted our system as it worked at its best in 19-20, no question about it, a big difference for them is that they go more direct a lot more frequently when it's on, use switches a lot more, but most of all, they are A LOT better without the ball than they were up until last season, and Foden is a massive part of that for them

    Yes please.

Don't expect anything from the useless mancs tomorrow, but the pressure is mounting on the dirty mancs.
