Match Thread: Liverpool v Inter Milan

To be fair to him, Jones was much better in his last 45 minute display.

    Alisson
    Trent Matip Van Dijk Robertson
    Thiago Fabinho Jones
    Salah Jota Mane

Shock inclusion at LCM controller for Jones Captain fantastic rested from the start for challenges ahead, got to use the whole squad now, Jota starts ahead of Diaz

I absolutely expect our lads to administer a thorough, hard, deep penetrating bumming, get the win and book their spot in the Champions League last 8 here tonight

That is what I expect to happen mate.

Jones is better on the left but as Thiago is better he has to shift over !

Delighted to see Hendo getting a rest - this wouldn't have been the match I'd have picked, but then, not sure which one I would have - every game feels a Cup Final just now.

Big opportunity for Jones and am delighted that Thiago is fit to start. Am inclined to use Thiago sparingly - Champion's League matches, matches against the better League opposition (Arsenal, Man City) and am pleasantly surprised that he has been deemed fit to start.

    Should have enough in attack.

    Let's have it lads.

I'd expect Thiago to start right for the distribution and the switches as Virgil can play the left to right balls to release Mo, so that gives us the opportunity to release players wide or in behind on either side and through the lines and channels from Thiago

Bruised ribs I would think, looked to get a hefty elbow in them in both his last 2 games and didn't look that comfortable after the whack in the ribs v West Ham, probably could have been on the bench if Jurgen thought it a necessity, but opted to rest him entirely and let the ribs recover is my guess
