I'd rather we got a harder draw now as daft as it seems.
Real got a lucky break against a very overrated PSG side. I csnt see them having anywhere near enough against Chelsea.

Think the other side of the draw are all 50/50ish games.

We beat a London side to win the league cup in1981 too.

the potential good fortune is avoiding a Premier League team until the final. Jota and Diaz might help us against Portuguese opponents and Klopp v Bayern is a classic fit. Luckily, I'm half the year in Portugal - so hoping to get tickets for Benfica.

PS Chelsea not having ANY away fans at Madrid will be tough

Man City v Atletico to play the winner of Real Madrid v Chelsea.

Benfica v Liverpool to play the winner of Villareal v Bayern Munich.

That's the best draw we could have hoped for, they're still all very tough games but

As in are we playing Tuesday/Wednesday before after the city game

We've played the same round as city so far.

In the interest of fairness around the big league game, hopefully we get the same rest and prep by playing on the same night.

Leaving chelsea/Real and Bayern/Villareal the other night

If its not fair, hope we in, and have an extra day prep before the game at city

It makes a nice change for us to get favourable draws in cup competitions for a change.

Too soon to get carried away, but that's clearly the best draw we could hope for. Let's not fuck it up.

I don't think they reach the Final, but in theory it could be -

Last 16 - Man United
Quarter -Man City
Semi - Chelsea
Final - Liverpool

Can't immediately recall a situation where a side has only played teams from one country through the Champion's League knockout stages - one of those pub question oddities.
