- De Gea and Jones are still there from Fergie.
- Mata and Shaw are still there from Moyes.
- Martial is still there from Van Gaal. Rashford and Lingard both broke into the side during his tenure.
- Pogba, Fred, Matic, Bailly, Lindelof and Dalot are still there from Mourinho's time and McTominay breaks through during his tenure.
- Maguire, Ronaldo, Sancho, Varane, Fernandes, Wan-Bissaka, Van De Beek, Cavani, Telles, Diallo are all there from Solskjaer. Henderson and Greenwood both broke through under his tenure.
- So that's 5 different managers who have been there before Rangnick, all with hints of their DNA/style/"philosophy" through that side. Five different managers before Ralph, all with their dirty fingerprints on the current squad.
- How many of those five managers are particularly "modern" and/or play a high-pressing game? How many of the players purchased suit that style?
It only further underlines just how good our set-up is and how wonderful Klopp is. Man United have some of the biggest resources of a non-Oil club in World Football but have botched their recruitment, management - everything really - for years now.
Long may it continue. They'll get it right eventually, particularly if they can accept that finishing "just" 4th a few seasons in a row is a good starting point to build from - but their desire for instant success means they get their decisions so, so, SO wrong and it's fabulous.
Arsenal win their game in hand they're only 2 points behind Chelsea.
if we win next week its, a 2 pt gap so we could afford 1 draw even if they won all 7, as long as our + goal difference doesnt get snuffed out. Trouble is we have been workmanlike like a lot lately, salah needs to up his game and his attitude. Id also play kostas and gomez again midweek to keep robertson and taa fresh for next sunday. Dint think city will play for a draw which should help.
I think Souness’ Liverpool side would give this Utd side a decent game.
Whooooops - Leicester lead at Old Trafford.
Excellent counter by Leicester, finished by a stooping header from Iheanacho.
Comedy gold watching this.
Utd 0-1 Brenny’s Bottlers
Maddisooooon!
You really do wonder sometimes when it comes to VAR.
Desperate to give freebies to Man Can, desperate to keep Man United "relevant" in some capacity.
Leicester have been the better team here. Utd are very lucky to still be in the mix for top four.
