I never suggested doing that, there was a clear path to evolve elements of our game without losing our ability to be direct, on the counter, pressing and counter pressing and winning second balls, we ditched most of that and elected for Jurgen's Thiago fantasy, which has turned out to be pure fantasy and to persist with Fab who is categorically not even a midfielder let alone a DM and nowhere near good enough with the ball given over half the teams we plays try and park the bus and let him have it easy

Loads of slating of Hendo for one miscontrol, even though Rashford was offside and both Virgil and Gomez could have stopped the goal, Virgil by being stronger and Gomez by stepping up so the offside was even clearer

Yet in both our opening games, Fab was absolutely shite, got hauled off v Fulham as he was hopeless with the ball and kept losing the man he should have been with or getting the wrong side of him, what Fab always does, and he did exactly the same for every one of Palace's good chances in the following game

Elliott shouldn't be starting, he's shit in the press, shite with his positioning in the triangle with trent and Mo and he doesn't create anything, just runs around a lot looking neat and tidy and energetic not being in the right positions

Yea - but no - but yea - but - Hendo would have been MOTM

Seriously now - imo you can’t start a top flight Premier league game at Old Trafford with 3 Englishmen in the middle. In the words of Ivan Drago “You will lose”. All heart but no technique. Have to have at least one proper player in there, someone who can beat a man - keep the ball etc, running won’t cut the mustard. .

We can be constructively critical of Jürgen.

But be oh-so-very-careful. Doesn't take a lot to light the torch paper.

Weather the storm if there are a few iffy results ahead. Otherwise we start to see the "Manager should go if we don't get 4th" type of language and it all starts from there. We saw it with Rafa and we cannot, cannot allow it to happen to Jürgen.

Unfortunately Hendo is looking his age getting hooked first wasn't a good sign for him. We looked alot better when Fabinho came on though we never looked like getting anything from the game.

What do you expect Sid, 19 shits on his own more often than not. He has form for it. Gerrard,Rogers,Fabinho,Gomez and now Klopp. There's probably a few more.

It is embarrassing that Ten Hag got his lineup spot on and motivated for a derby and Klopp didn’t get even close. Weird night and midfield choice not having Fab in there.

Whilst I will disagree with 19 at times, it's great to know he's free to share his mind.
