Last bit is correct. Though I'd wager he does care about Liverpool FC.

Won't be a perfect translation (expect errors) as it's just Google's very basic translator, but it looks like *fingers crossed* Naby Keita won't be risked by Guinea for international duties -

"The midfielder and captain of the Syli National will not be able to honor his summons on the sidelines of the international break in September 2022 due to his state of physical health.

Selected as the 24th player, Naby Kéita was followed closely by the technical staff of the national team of Guinea. His state of health has been the subject of particular attention and regular exchanges have taken place between the Guinean Football Federation, Liverpool Football Club and the player.

As indicated by the national coach on September 7, 2022, Mr. Kaba Diawara, a final assessment was made by the technical staff. It has been noted that the player's situation is improving. However, according to the medical report sent by the Liverpool Football Club, Naby Kéita is considered too fair for the two games of Guinea.

The technical staff of the Guinea national team has made the final decision to let the player continue his club's treatment protocol in order to allow him to return to competition as soon as possible and be available for the next national team matches. and in clubs."

    - with luck he comes back to us, we rehabilitate him properly and when he is needed he can be called upon.

No real desire to see him here next season to be honest, but no point sticking him on the bench to rot either. If he can even give us 10-20 appearances (all comps) mainly as a substitute to take some pressure off Henderson, Thiago etc then we might as well make use of that.

Obviously! shown by his performances and vocals before he got injured,, a Symbol of a very average midfield era, and the brilliance of the attacking players/back 4/Klopp

Maybe southgate is going to give him some match fitness for us ?

He'll play, no doubt about that. He'll also get injured again. International football can fuck off until the World Cup.

realistically its his last tournament, theres not much chance he'll get into the 2024 euros squad but dont rule out Southgate using him in the qualifiers then binning him. Hendo should do the right thing for us and himself and bow out from England in December. No saying how much longer he'll have with us, he'll prob fancy a final stint with sunderland to finish. his playing carerer.

I'm not having that Kev. Hendo has declined no question and we're not as strong as we were a few years ago but you don't win and compete the way we have over the last 4 or 5 years without quality throughout.

Our midfield was/is lightyears behind City's but the way some go on, it sounds like we won a Title and a European Cup with Glen Whelan, Darren Gibson and Gavin McCann in midfield!

We'll never know but replace Henderson with a top midfielder, or just a very good midfielder ,we'd have won a few more titles and at least another champions league.

Imagine gerrard behind the attackers playing like they did.. thanks to FSG we'll never know.

We've not had a great midfield for some time really "since the best midfield in the world!

I agree wholeheartedly with this, he should retire after the World Cup. If needed for 2024... I'm sure he can answer the call then.
But he absolutely loves playing for England and I wonder if he'll play for every last cap.
