How many times have we seen this story and are we going to keep seeing it?

Trent gets skinned like a banana, and then casually jogs a bit back instead of busting a lung to get back in the central position to cover for Matip who now has to clean up his mess.
And suddenly we're overloaded with Virgil having two attackers to defend against - all while Trent is watching from before too late realizing that maybe he has to do something to help, by which point it's too late as the shot is taken and scored.

There was a stat somewhere that 7 of all the 12 goals we've conceded since the Champions League final last season (and including it) have all come from attacks down his wing and with him directly getting beaten or bullied out of the ball.
