    So be it indeed.

    Rather face them over two legs than a Final and 50% of the tie is at Anfield.

    If we win, it will inspire huge belief to go the full way. If we lose, it's less games to juggle in a challenging season.

    Man City will be loving that draw.

    Manageable last-16 tie for them, with two of Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG out of the competition by the time the Tournament reaches the Quarter-final stage.

    Still - the prize for beating Real Madrid is there if we can find a way - some of those last-16 ties you'd fancy us against either winner!

    Look at the two midfields - then start excercising that hope. 2 legs v them harder than one game imo. So let’s do it the hard way.

    Least its in Feb, and over 2 legs...they'll not be relishing playing us either...

    Haha...we'll see...looking forward to it though...Hope we can buy smart in January and reinforce this midfield...and most importantly stay fit and healthy.

    Anfield needs to be riotous and feverish against them. Ancelotti is excellent at setting sides up to take the sting out of a tie.

    @Millar_Colin
    With Jürgen Klopp as manager, Liverpool have exclusively been knocked out of the Champions League by clubs from Madrid. The one season they didn't play a club from Madrid, they won the Champions League - in Madrid.

    As an aside, Man United are drawn against Barcelona - different Tournament of course but I might actually watch that one.

    I’m fine with Real. Enjoy being the underdog and revenge is sweet.

    Just waiting for Mo to come out and say "we're looking for revenge".
    I bet you can squeal like a pig!
