Canada have played well. Belgium starting to dominate now but first half could have been 2 up for Canada before the Belgium goal

Canada are going to be a force in World Football soon. They have lots of players of African origin and this has benefited their football. Similar to France they have players with the same athleticism and with the MSL as well as the migration of the players to big leagues in Europe I can only see them getting better.

Interestingly Pele predicted that the African team would win the WC but it may never happen. However, it seems that increasingly teams that will win the WC will have more and more African players. France had won 0 WC with mostly Euro-French players. 2 since, Their greatest player is of Arabic/African origin. The 2 most recent Ballon D'or winners could have played for the North African tram. Mbappe who seems could be the winner next year if France wins the WC could have played for Cameroon. Even when you watch 2 European teams it is like it should be DRC vs Nigeria or Cameroon or something like that.

Swiss goalscorer today, Embolo, was born in Cameroon.

I know. One day European nations will have white people in the stands and black players on the pitch. Across all sporting codes. Would have been great if these boys could play for their countries and African teams dominated football as it should be. But cause their countries are not allowed to develop they have to leave or their parents have to. So Pogba, Mbappe, Benzema, Zidane, Thuram, Desaily etc will continue to be lost to their nations and African teams supposedly are weak in WC and global stage, yet the best of the best are actually African boys.

I hope Nunez is top goalscorer at the WC, that will be amazing for his confidence and for us. Even if he is not if he bangs in a few same result and Uruguay go far will be amazing. I am hoping for an African champ but since that is not possible. Hope Brazil, Uruguay or Africa/France lol win the WC.

Facundo Pellistri is the right wing striker for Uruguay.
A great prospect apparently and signed by the Mancs in 2020 but yet to make an appearance for them and loaned out to Alaves instead.
