Thread: The Championship

    The Championship

Always keep an eye on the other leagues around the world .
The championship from 5th to 16th , 3 points separating them.
    Crazy league.
Looks like Burnley and Sheff are going up.
Always hope that Millwall don't go up lol
    QPR Always a soft spot.
Maybe that 1976 team, that finished 2nd to Liverpool.
Lots of big medium clubs, connected to old brit industry.
    25k to 35k stadiums.
Most have been in the Premier league or at least the old 1st division.
    I suppose I should put a question.
“We have to change, from doubters to believers—now.”

I used to hate Burnley when they had Sean Dyche. You always feared for your own players getting inured, which did in fact happen. They encouraged thuggery and their tactic was get a set piece, swing the ball in under the crossbar, and pile in and foul the goal keeper.
Are they different now under Vincent Company?, someone who I have a lot of time for, despite his City connection.

    These things don't need googling.
I like stats and old league tables.
    1977 Man City finished 2nd.
1978 Forest won the league. Hmm I guess we finished 2nd ??
    75 Derby won league .
    70 Everton 71 arsenal 72 Derby 73 Liverpool 74 Leeds 75 Derby. The rest is history. 😂😊

Well I googled 1978 for you as you had a question mark against it!
We finished 2nd as you suspected.
Everton limped home in third place.

I grew up in that 60s era Dicko!
Loved football more then than now but probably a few myths abound too.
