but thing is us chelsea and spurs have been poor.... outside city arsenal and utd there's not really much else.
    It's an odd one.

Brighton finished the 21/22 season with 51 points - they already have 34 at the moment - can certainly see them getting 60-65 points if they keep things up.

Possible contenders for a Champion's League or Europa League spot.

Yes brighton have been good but it's very rare for ourselves and chelsea to be both so bad, and spurs only a little better.

if all was actually on form and played like they/we can with squads on paper.... all would be in top 6 newcastle 7th then brighton etc

True - which is annoyingly entirely on us.

I don't think the points tally for 6th spot will be massively high. Even Newcastle have drawn 5 of their last 6 (10 points dropped in 18!) it's just that we don't currently have the capacity to capitalise as we can't string good performances together right now, never mind winning performances.

On the plus side we've a season of no European football to get our form in the league back.
That's if we don't win old big ears this season. (I KNOW !!)

I know it's not a popular tournament for a lot of folks in here (and that's fine) but in the event that we do manage to conjure some form out of the Magic Hat then I hope we would have enough to attain Europa League football.

    - Not as much money as the Champion's League, but you still get some.
    - UEFA co-efficient still significant for when we get back into the Champion's League. Only need to take a look at how highly Man United are ranked despite being in and out of Europe's top competition and not going far in it generally of late.
    - Excellent opportunity to give matches to younger players to build their European away experience without being thrown in against the likes of Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
    - It's a chance to attain Champion's League football (via winning it) should we have another bad League season.
    - It's potentially away days in new cities for travelling fans rather than seeing certain localities/grounds again.
    - It's silverware if you win it, which is enough in itself - a chance to add to the historic European tally even if it isn't Big Ears.

Though I don't think we'll finish high enough. I know I'm not particularly interested in the Europa Conference League.

    Huge revenue loss.
    The yanks won't be happy.
    Potential buyer will pay less.

    Fsg need to be swift.
Either this summer Jurgen gets exactly what he wants and needs.

Or they have to sell well before the next summer window to put in place a new ownership.
