It's good analysis, but where are the legs in our squad to do it? Elliott? Jones? Milner? Hendo? Thiago? Fabinho? Are we going to try an ruin Bajcetic and turn him into a Milner? We can see them all - they cant run. AND even if we find that energy again - what about the front line? Can you see a prime Mane or Salah in there? Because they pressed the hell out of opponents themselves on top of being deadly.. Where is that superb interplay that Bobby made his own coming from? That graft? Gakpo??? REALLY?
Jota and Diaz can't come back fast enough - but neither will be fit on return. Pressure will be MASSIVE. We don't even know IF Diaz will be the same player again. That knee injury followed by a second breakdown is really not good. The knee can be a career killer. Salah isn't the player he was either. I know it all sounds so doom laden but that's because that's how it looks in reality.
It's easy to look at the past and say all we need to do is go back to that, but rivals have already adopted that methodology AND even evolved it further. Pressing is something ANY team can do. If you want to go out and buy a bunch of pressing machines they are out there.. BUT they need to operate in a side that has deadly weapons too.
I just don't see them
