True. But that is where you need a bit of guile from midfield. We need variation to many balls over the top. We need to get fullback offering width. It is too congested in the middle to final third and all within the width of the 18 yard.

    Ref has given us nothing.
Villa very well organised and coached. i don't think they are a shithousery team.
    Pretty good game.
We are not quite at it. We could do with a bit more guile around the box. Have we got a number 9 on the bench who could maybe do that?

Poor half for the most part, much better in the last 10 minutes, we needed that throughout though, not after we've conceded

PGMOL corruption and being bent as fuck in general out in all its force here today, giving the away side everything, failing to apply the laws of the game in not sending Mings off who was very clearly last man, there's simply no cover there, you can't look at that and saty there is a covering defender, he has to go

Over to Jurgen to make sure we're a bit better second half, and that we use the bent officiating as something to make us raise our game and performance to higher levels rather than letting it annoy and frustrate us, this is an absolutely MUST win game, we simply HAVE to win, let's make damned well sure we do just that in the second half here today

Come the FUCK on Liverpool, get this won second half

Emery getting a lot more out of that group than Stevie did.

We were no better v Fulham (needing a soft pen) and Brentford… difference is Villa have a clever Spaniard with better players than Fulham or Brentford.

Fabinho probably been our most involved midfielder even if a lot of it was just stopping them breaking by fouling or holding. Henderson really has fallen off a cliff this year and is not offering much. Jones being crowded out a lot. It’s down to Trent to win this game through his long passing I think.

Emery is a top top Manager. Mourinho type in terms of setup. But clearly gets people to buy in. It means he is clear with his planning and what he wants to achieve.

They deserve their 1-0 lead at half time.
It's up to us to quicken it up and be more positive.

There's been a few this season, that's why we are were we are.
Commentator said we've conceded first in something like 21 of our last 40 games, that has to change
