Wow...! Only taken the 13 years to get here. This one is mainly on the Liverpool City council though tbf.

2 of the nations biggest clubs (don't laugh) and almost next door to each other YET the transport links are from the Victorian era.

Finally - something... Don't hold your breath though folks.

Interesting, but long-winded, article on BBC sport about FSG.

Mist be a slow news day. That article is mostly rehashed opinion 'n' kin be summed up by saying sports fans go thro' cycles o' happiness 'n' discontent. Unless ye'r Steveo, in which case ye'r in a permanent state o' discontent.

Pretty good article - extremely balanced and does exactly what it says on the tin. 'Glory and fury'.. I call it 'Boom and bust'..

No surprise to see Ray McCooney try to thwart its momentum 'n gloss over some of the more questionable details..

    Dear Supporter,

We are preparing to partially open the new Anfield Road upper tier for the first time at the Manchester United fixture on December 17. This is part of a phased opening programme of the new expanded Anfield Road Stand and is subject to an internal emergency conditions test managed in conjunction with Liverpool City Council and a public test event.

For this important test event we are inviting you to take part on Monday 11th December which will feature a live Q&A with manager Jürgen Klopp.

    Timings:
    18:00 – Turnstiles open
    19:00 – Event Starts
    19:20 – Half Time
    19:30 – Second Half
    20:00 – Event Finishes

This free event is an important part of the matchday preparation and the phased opening of the new Anfield Road Stand, which when complete will increase Anfield capacity from 54,000 to 61,000.

During this event the aim is to test the building, systems and management plans and there will be times where you will be asked to cooperate in some important tests. These include staying for the full duration of the event, using the welfare facilities, testing entry and exit procedures and a fire alarm evacuation at the end.

The LFC Foundation will also be hosting a community match play on pitch activity and discounted refreshments will be available on the concourses.

    HOW TO BOOK TICKETS

Tickets can be booked online from 9am Tuesday 5 December 2023 until 8am Monday 11 December 2023.

Eligible supporters can book TWO tickets per Supporter ID.

Tickets are available on a first come first served basis and we cannot guarantee tickets to all who apply. Seats will be unreserved.

Please only book tickets if you can attend.

Please note any supporters who need accessible seating should book tickets in the Lower Tier only.

    PARKING

Free parking is available to book, free of charge & subject to availability when booking your event ticket(s).

Once tickets have been confirmed more important information will follow ahead of the event including how to download your ticket.

    Thank you for your support,

    Liverpool Football Club

    Hehe.. nice one...

It's not free though is it. Anyone who attends is helping them out. I saw this in my email a while back and had a chuckle.. It's 8 hours round trip for me.. but a free parking space - they are a generous bunch..
