Is the club getting a refund from the builders/architects/contractors because of the contract not being met?

    How very dare you tees.

I am certain that no nepotism finds its way into the inner workings of FSG (ahem - who is that Boston Globe run by again? )

Believe it or not, but the club sold tickets for all the seats in the new stand only to contact everyone and tell them they can't now go . A bloody shambles.

Took a walk around it on Saturday and it looks well. Definitely alot further on than last time but the new year looks more likely.
Though you never know, it could be next season.
It will interesting to see if they sell tickets in the ballot for matches after Christmas like they did last time. Poor buggers got through on the ballot and choose seats in the new stand rather than other places in the ground only to be told they can't go.
They won't be doing that again in a couple of weeks !!

Going back to how the stadium looks.. some seem find it an "eyesore". the only decent looking stadiums are the ones that have been built in the last 10/20 years and none of them are located on the exact spot of the old ground.. Spurs/Arsenal/West-ham Man-city etc..
you can have the best shinny looking amazing to eye and all that jazz .But we are still playing at the ground. where Shankly and Paisley managed. where the great teams and players played. for decades in the past and hopefully for decades to come.

You make some good points.. Eyesore is the right word - the stadium is an absolute munter of an ensemble. Like someone took 4 stands from various grounds and rammed them into each other - not even head on..

The stuff about where Shankly and Paisley managed is moot however.. Nobody is suggesting we ever needed to move.

On the flip side..Anfield used to be the home of Everton too. We can always use history to make a point.

Go to Madrid - go to Dortmund. Get out and see the world - it will do you the world of good.

Anfield could and should have genuinely been updated. Like the Bernebeu or Westfalenstadion.. A stadium wide upgrade. What can we say that is tangible has been done to improve the Kop? More room - has the facade been modernised? NOPE - Zilch! can't increase the size (MONEY FROM TICKETS) so let it rot... Centenary/SKD? Any tangible improvements? NOPE Still one of the most cramped stands in the land...

Adding a single gigantic out of proportion stand is NOT a stadium update.. that's adding a single stand. Adding another one years later - again one that doesn't fit with any other of the 4 stands - not a stadium update - but the addition of another stand. This is the point. Upgrade the stadium you cheapskate lousy Yank Fucks...!

Oh and West Ham have possibly the worst ground I have ever been to. Atrocious design and clearly not for football.

When will some people learn. there is no space to be able to build a "palace" unless they knock down 2 rows of houses.. thats already happened with a previous upgrade and theres also a massive traffic issue..
