There was plenty of room. The footprint increase with the New Main stand and ARE would have been plenty. Same boundary.

Just shift the pitch across towards Alroy rd. Redevelop the entire ground. All 4 stands could have been increased in height and depth without any further need to relocate anyone. YES it would have cost a good £100 million more - but still way less than the cost Henry expected for a new ground AND Anfield would be in position to increase - upwards in future - as local infrastructure finally catches up with the 21st century…. Also it could have been a stunner. Probably a max height no more than the new ARE but on all 4 sides. Could have been a beauty.

All I am saying is - had it not been done as cheap as possible - and that was always the driving force behind rebuilding individual stands. Henry admitted in 2010 £300 million needed to be spent. It’s 2024 nearly,,, The entire budget even with huge price increases today over 2010 is just £180 million. It’s STILl not done. That’s why it has been done as it has. All to maximise potential revenue from as little expenditure on infrastructure as possible.

What a way to treat the nations most decorated club.

Regardless of what anyone thinks. The Kop and the SKD are in urgent need of regeneration. How can this be?

This might help illustrate the point.

so knock the entire stadium down bit by bit? thats what you seem to be suggesting by shifting the pitch across. firstly ud have to remove one stand. lower it to the ground, that would lose 10s of thousands supporters. then you;d have to do it with the other 3 stands. take years to construct.. you would lose a lot in revenue over that period and would probably cost wayyyy more than just building a new stadium and that still doesnt solve the traffic issues on match day. so a good solution NOT

At least the seats are in and they are red. I will take any positive at this point.

The video is supposed to be impressive - pretty tough ask that - as polishing a turd is tough. It’s still Anfield I guess - Our Anfield.,, aesthetically speaking it’s a total mess but we all love her. Like a buck toothed grandmother post stroke…

At least there should be approaching 60,000 seats.

    Only taken 13 fooking years…

EDIT: 61,000 seats.. See - even I am singing its praises now.. #desperate..
