The defence in this half looks really ragged.
The whole shape of the team is nothing like in the first half. So I am confused as to how we are supposed to be playing this season.

4-4. Furth undone by their attempt to defend high. Nunez provides the cross for Salah. Salah's finish identical to his first ever goal for Liverpool, against Watford. If any of you guys remember that one!

For those who didn't see the game.
The second half was a really makeshift team apart from Nunez and Salah.
The second string back line looked all over the place.
In the first half Szoboslai didn't play, (he has rolled his ankle I think). Trent played in midfield. Macallister on one side. Gakpo on the other. Gakpo had a good game as he usually does. Virgil van Dijk already looking better than he was last season. (Is he club captain now?)
Nunez and Salah looked good playing together.
A 4-4 draw is about a fair result I would say. Their team is way ahead of ours in match fitness.

Second half defending was an absolute embarrassment against what was basically reserves of a German second tier team. Adrian gave away the first, Matip the second and Gomez as often is the case, seemed to think he was attacking and made sure he was nowhere near an opposing player.
Laughable from Adrian, Gomez and Matip.

Just about match fitness. This german team are already match fit. their season begins at the weekend.
