1,000 and 3,000 general admission I believe. around 4,000 extra bums on seats for the mortals - from a 7k increase. Frankly a puny increase relative to demand… as it was with the main stand.

It's pathetic that the Kop holds less than 13,000 fans. I remember that it was noted that they couldn't increase the capacity many years ago, but really, it needs to be doubled to the largest capacity terrace in the world.
Dortmund's Yellow Wall is 25,000 capacity I believe...

Not a local, so if I'm misunderstanding the geography, please bear with - wouldn't the Walton Breck Road be an issue? I can't foresee enough red tape being cut through in terms of residents, local businesses, the council etc enabling the Kop to grow backwards unless the long-term plan Walton Breck ended up inside a tunnel and the effect on those in residence would be logistically undesirable. So I assume the only way would be up within the confines of the current structure - possible, but the seats would take fans yet further away from the pitch - I can't imagine huge desire for those "in the Clouds" seats but I could be wrong given the length of the season ticket waiting list - some may simply happy to be there.

A revamp with safe standing would be a viable option...

Gotcha - 7,000+ rail seats in the Kop now at the moment, right?

Wonder what capacity could be managed with the Kop being an almost exclusively safe-standing zone.

You'll pay 240 Euros a season to watch all games in the Yellow Wall, but Dortmund already have 55,000 season ticket holders. There's over 100,000 people on the waiting list: 19th May 2023...
