Trent on the other hand really needs to have his position fixed.

Macca played as DM and I thought he played well. I think Gakpo (who I am big fan of) had a poor game, and Trent was all over the place, nowhere near his best. I think with another option at DM then Macca will play further forward and the whole midfield will benefit from that.

You are correct. Mac did have a decent game. Could have played a better pass to Nunez mind late on. A different DM makes no difference to that game. Their goal came from a scrappy header back into the box.

Poor pressing and positioning all round, for their goal we failed to clear effectively and weren't set up right that they had a man free just outside the box

Second point, it's a heavy bias against Trent to try and apportion blame to him for an offside goal that was offside because Trent stepped up to play him off it's actually ridiculous tbh, he saw the run and played him off
