9 points from 3 games, 2nd and 3rd spot tied on 4 points, 4th spot with 0 so far.

Qualification from the group is looking as close to a formality as we could have hoped for.

Just hope we can go really far - ideally all the way of course. I know it isn't the Champion's League and that makes it a non-priority for some, but winning this Tournament would be excellent for some members of our squad going forward - Núñez, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Gravenberch, Endo, Konate, Bajcetic, Quansah etc all getting a taste of winning a European trophy with Liverpool prior to an attempt at the Champion's League next season would be something else.

6 years in a row we were in the Champion's League and in 3 of those seasons we reached the Final - ridiculous. In a perfect World we get there again with a refreshed squad and get Jürgen motivated to extend. This squad definitely has something and so many of the best elements of it are younger players

Absolutely, Gravenberch and Szoboszlai have been an absolute revelation

not sure why the likes Jones is still playing over Gravenberch most of the time?

I think he's just being eased in gradually. He barely played last season so his levels may not be there yet but once he's right he'll be a starter. We've got the makings of a real quality midfield.

Well, for quite some time now (going as far back as August of 2022) there's positive stuff going in his favour.

    - When he plays, we score more on average.
    - When he plays, we concede less on average.
    - When he plays, we win more on average.
    - When he plays, we have higher possession on average.

Klopp has also praised his counter-pressing and decision-making in the past.

Also he has been around longer than Gravenberch, so is more comfortable with the tactics - so he is a good fit at the moment even if Gravenberch looks to have much more natural talent.

Tifo did a decent little video on Jones about a month back actually.

Yeah but Gravenberch is better..... and will only get better, if anything to go by and history jones will just go back to himself.

    Play-off round draw -

    Feyenoord vs Roma
    Milan vs Rennes
    Lens vs Freiburg
    Young Boys vs Sporting
    Benfica vs Toulouse
    Braga vs Qarabag
    Galatasaray vs Sparta Prague
    Shakhtar Donetsk vs Marseille

I believe the next draw is February 23rd.

Quick reminder for anyone who has forgotten/overlooked the change of format that we are straight into the Last 16 by virtue of winning our group, rather than going into a Last 32.

    Last 16 - two games
    Quarter-final - two games
    Semi-final - two games
    Final

Seven left to play if we want to win it, rather than the usual nine.

Cheers Sid… Didn’t know about that.

2 less games - could make a big difference come the end of the season. IF we are in the mix for the top spot
