Nice article. My experience was only slightly similar. I went to the match with my Dad from the age of about 12-13 - 1965/66. We went in the Anfield Road End usually - stood on the kop only once for a Derby game.
Caught a bus from Tuebrook after walking from Green Lane L13. I have loads of match programmes, I went to home games up until the end of the 1967/1968 season when we moved to South Wales.
Enjoyable article, my opinion.
