If Man United were to lose they would have lost 5 of their opening 3 games which would apply a little pressure.

Similarly, Newcastle lost 5 League games (total) last season and could be facing a 4th defeat from their opening 5 if they were to lose.

A win for us early in the weekend (fingers crossed) would leave us kicking our feet up and hopefully witnessing hilarity occur elsewhere - certainly the Arsenal v Everton game feels like a "win win" for us provided we handle our own business.
I doubt even Uniturd could pull a stunt like that off Sid....

Maguire is back on the pitch so anything’s possible.

They're playing Brighton to be fair - I do suspect they'll manage a draw or a win as it's Old Trafford but you never know!

Ah I now see the typo - was meant to be 3 of their opening 5 rather than 5 of their opening 3 - very good

Sincerely though, 3 losses from the opening 5 would be worrisome for them - and Brighton are capable of a result, so let's hope.

    Got there eventually mate!

Here's an interesting one - had a text from a friend (usually spot on) saying that during Klopp's tenure, we have had twelve of these 12.30 kick-offs after international breaks and that the side with the second-most has had....drum roll please - just six.

    Seems an odd discrepancy that.

That’s exactly it. Utd are utterly awful, City are boring and we are a really good watch, always the biggest tv audiences.
